Who we are
ImpactArcher (impactarcher.com) is run by Kenji Hatanaka, an individual based in Japan ("we"). Questions about this policy or your data: k.hatanaka@bakerization.com.

What we collect
Contact form: your name, email address, organization and message, plus a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to limit spam. Member accounts: name, email address, profile (profile URL, bio, country, affiliation), your password and API keys (stored only as one-way hashes), sign-in sessions, and the write-ups you publish. Our hosting provider also keeps basic technical logs such as IP address, browser and pages requested.

When you use ImpactArcher in ChatGPT or Claude
Without signing in, the AI can search and read public write-ups: we receive the search terms and the write-ups requested, use them only to answer, and do not store them or link them to you. If you sign in, the AI tool receives an access token for your ImpactArcher account and can publish and edit write-ups as you and read members-only write-ups; we keep a record of the connected app and its tokens so you can disconnect it. We receive only what the AI sends to our tools (for example the HTML of a write-up), never your conversation. Your use of ChatGPT or Claude itself is covered by OpenAI's and Anthropic's privacy policies.

Why we use it
To reply to your messages, run member accounts and publish their write-ups, operate the ChatGPT and Claude integrations, and keep the site secure and free of abuse. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who receives it
Service providers that process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), both in the United States, and Cloudflare (domain). Published write-ups and your public profile (name, profile URL, bio, country, affiliation) are visible to everyone, or only to signed-in members for members-only write-ups. We share information with anyone else only when the law requires it. Your data may therefore be processed outside Japan.

How long we keep it
Contact messages: up to 2 years. Member data: while your account exists; we delete it within 30 days of a deletion request. Access tokens given to AI tools expire within an hour; renewal stops when you disconnect the app, and we revoke them on request. Hosting logs are kept by our provider for a limited period.

Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile and delete your own write-ups at any time in Settings and on each write-up. To disconnect an AI tool, remove ImpactArcher from ChatGPT or Claude, and tell us if you also want its access revoked on our side. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to close your account, write to k.hatanaka@bakerization.com.

Children
ImpactArcher is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
